Dr's Bio
Dr. Kernes is an expert in postural and spinal care. He is dedicated to helping people live a more fulfilling life without pain and disease. His passion is to help people live to their fullest potential -- which includes some of Hollywood's most famous.
Dr. Gordon Kernes is originally from Johannesburg, South Africa where he was an accomplished national swimmer and ultra marathon runner for many years. After high school, he completed his mandatory military service in the South African Defense Force where he became a drill and physical training instructor. After military service, he began his fitness journey and succesfully competed in body-building contests of which he won many including Mr. South Africa. He left for the USA in 1985 in pursuit of greater titles and a sound education. Dr. Kernes moved to Los Angeles, California. He continued to win competitions, including the 1989 California Grand Prix Overall Title and 4th in the 1992 World Championships (Mr. Universe). He enrolled in Chiropractic College after retiring from competition. His commitment to education led him to graduate Cum Laude at Cleveland Chiropractic College in Los Angeles.
Dr. Kernes is a well-known healer and fitness expert in West Hollywood and has treated thousands of patients. His unique, gentle, and holistic chiropractic methods have helped people get out of pain fast. He has tremendous respect for his patients and his patient-centered approach allows them to learn a great deal about their bodies while being active participants in their care. He assures a relaxing, pleasant, but most of all, effective office visit. Dr. Kernes also guarantees a âno waiting policyâ.
