About Our Practice
Hoglund Chiropractic Center, offers compassionate care committed to serving patients who primarily suffer from back pain, neck pain and headaches. We are well experienced in evaluating and treating patients with automobile accident injuries, personal injury, and work-related injuries. Our goal is to provide treatment that is gentle, safe and highly effective through various treatment procedures available and implemented according to the individual patient comfort level. Chiropractic healthcare is conservative and involves no drugs or surgery. Our office also provides DOT/CDL physical examinations and/or urine drug testing as required for the Department of Transportation. School sports physicals are also provided.
Edward W. Hoglund, D.C. is a 1984 graduate of Palmer College in Iowa. He has been in full-time practice on Merritt Island for 26 years and is a member of the American Chiropractic and Florida Chiropractic Associations. He has extensive postgraduate studies in diagnosis, orthopedics, neurology, sports injuries, and evaluation/treatment of permanent injury and impairment.
Specific conservative treatments include spinal manipulation, cervical intermittent motorized traction, and lumbar decompression traction. Physiotherapy modalities including electric muscle stimulation, ultrasound, hot and cold compresses. Individualized specific education and advice on spinal strength and stabilization exercises, stretches and cardiovascular exercise. Our office provides experienced licensed massage therapy by Candace Burklew, LMT, specializing in medical massage.
